This is the personal website for Jerry Sander, L.C.S.W.-R, psychotherapist, father, and author. It is my hope these pages encourage you to pursue your own positive change in this world.  These days are not a dress-rehearsal for anything, but are the thing itself. 

Sometimes we need the help of an experienced therapist to find what F.M. Alexander called “the means whereby.”  Aldous Huxley cited as essential to helping our love become effective in “an often-loveless world.”

My therapy practice is open to adults, teens, couples and children over eight years old.  While my expertise is adolescence, I have come to appreciate how adolescent issues resonate throughout our lives and are present in our intimate relationships, family interactions and professional work lives.  I am happy to be restarting my Men’s Group, this September, 2010, for men who are dealing with adjustment issues, parenting or family concerns, emotional steadiness, and happiness.  It will be meet once every two weeks for an hour and a half and will cost $50/session, with a five-session commitment.  It may be reimbursable under your insurance.  I will also be starting a divorce support group, for both men and women who find themselves in the midst of an unwanted divorce.
